Instead, it\u2019s a special version of the 540i xDrive known as the Legacy Edition that will be available exclusively to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/canada\/\">Canadian<\/a> market. It\u2019s the first version of the current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/01\/2024-bmw-520i-review-a-premium-sedan-that-doesnt-thrill-but-does-soothe\/\">5-Series<\/a> to be sold in Canada with six cylinders and without a plug-in hybrid system. <\/p>\n<p>Power is provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/bmw\/\">BMW\u2019s<\/a> 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, punching out 375 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque that\u2019s assisted by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Working alongside an eight-speed automatic \u2018box, the sporty sedan can hit 100 km\/h (62 mph) in 4.7 seconds. That generation of the 5-Series was the first to wear the 540i badge, and it was something special. Other standard features include an 18-speaker Bowers &amp; Wilkins surround sound system and ventilated front seats.<\/p>\n<p>BMW hasn\u2019t announced prices for the limited-edition model yet, but there\u2019s a good chance it\u2019ll start at over CA$100,000 (~$72,600).
